H. L. Nathurmal is a trading firm established by Late Shri Nathurmal in 1919 with multifarious trading activity in various commodities. In the year 1958 his son Late Shri Lekhraj Nathurmal acquired mines at Arvalem village in Sanquelim (Bicholim) Taluka. These mines are surrounded by mines of well known mine owners and exporters like Sesa Goa Ltd., Damodar Mangalji & Co. Pvt. Ltd., G. N. Agarwal etc. The mines have rich deposits of both Iron Ore & Manganese Ore.

In the year 1984, after the demise of Mr. Lekhraj Nathurmal, Shri. Haresh L. Melwani took the reins of the enterprise and started exploring the Chinese market for the Indian Ore. His association with M/s. Doddanavar Brothers from Belgaum, Karnataka, a large mine owner, proved to be a perfect recipe for a long journey towards an emerging Chinese market. Started with right earnest in January 2004 with the first shipment to China, in 16 months a record performance of One Million Tonnes of Iron Ore export to China has been achieved.

H. L. Nathurmal holds the distinction of being a pioneer Investor in the Mining industry in Philippines.

Our forage into the Philippine Pharmaceutical market as an investor has been the first of its kind. We were the first to forge an Indo-Philippine joint venture for Energy Generation and Mining.

Our Marketing Division has Distributorship for Maxima and HMT Watches, Crompton Greaves Home Appliances, Panasonic Phones, T-Series & Oxim CFLs to name a few, for the Goa and Karnataka zone.

H. L. Nathurmal has participation as an active member with the Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Confederation of Indian Industry and other trade associations.
